Abstract: A review on the recent advances of application of modern instrumental analysis to the inspection of heavy metals present as pollutants in medicines,was given in this paper including related topics mentioned in Chinese Pharmacopoeia,British Pharmacopoeia,United States Pharmacopoeia and Japanese Pharmacopoeia,and a future prospect in this field was also presented (30 ref. cited).
