Abstract: A review on the present status and prospect on researches of AFS determination of arsenic and mercury in atmospheric particles was presented,relating to the principle of AFS and its course of development,collection and pretreatment of atmospheric particles;analytical conditions of the AFS instrument used in the determination;the reaction medium adopted for hydride generation,and etc.Prospects on the future progress in this field were also given (36 ref.cited).
