Abstract: A review of the research progresses on the preconcentration and separation methods for thallium in water in recent 20 years was present, including physical, chemical, biological and electro-chemical methods. The advantages and disadvantages of different methods were discussed and the development of the preconcentration and separation methods for thallium in water was proposed (42 ref. cited).
