Abstract: Mass spectrum database fairly versatile to 12 chemicals illegally added in anti-impotence Chinese patent drugs and health foods was established by triple tandem quadrupole mass spectrometer (TQ-MS) and quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometer (QTOF-MS). And based on this database, a rapid method for screening of such anti-impotence Chinese patent drugs and health foods was proposed. On the base of characteristic fragment ions of structural analogues in the database, the scope of inspection was extended to those analogues that have been modified or transformed in molecular structures. In case of having no reference substances, preliminary screening of a large number of samples still could be performed with the database.
