Abstract:
Through the improvement of the preparation method of the ammonia rapid detection tube, the construction of the ammonia generation simulation chamber, the preparation and calibration of the mass concentration of ammonia, and the construction of the gas sampling device, a new device and method for the rapid detection of ammonia in the air of workplaces were established. The developed ammonia rapid detection tube was showed extremely obvious color changes before and after adsorbing ammonia. The discoloration interface was neat and clear, which was beneficial for naked-eye detection, and the color change was very rapid and the detection process only took 100 s. As shown by the results, linear relationship between the discoloration length of the detection tube and mass concentration of ammonia was kept in the range of 1.6-69.7 mg·m
−3. The coefficients of variation of the ammonia rapid detection tubes were all less than 10%, and the absolute values of the relative errors of the determined values were all not more than 15%. The precision and accuracy were met the requirements specified in the national standard GB/T 7230—2008. The ammonia rapid detection tubes had good stability and could be stably stored at room temperature for 6 months.
