Abstract:
Homemade explosives are abused by criminals for explosive-related criminal activities because of their easy availability of raw materials, low cost and simple formula. The research on homemade explosives in domestic forensic science mainly focuses on component identification, and explosive capacity detection, while is weak in the traceability of homemade explosives and their precursor material source factories and tracing homemade explosives production organizations. Therefore, developing effective traceability methods are extremely important. The traceability methods of homemade explosives, including stable isotope mass spectrometry, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, thermal analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectrometry, Raman spectrometry, chromatography and other methods were reviewed. The data processing methods of traceability data of homemade explosives, including chemometrics and special database establishment were briefly introduced. The future development direction of homemade explosives traceability was prospected, providing reference for relevant testing research in the field of forensic science (63 ref. cited).
