Abstract: Marine biotoxins can be accumulated in aquatic products, especially in shellfish tissues. Many countries have recognized the harm of these toxins to human body. International organizations, and some countries and regions have promulgated laws, regulations and detection methods to control aquatic products in relevant regions. By comparing and analyzing the control measures and detection methods of marine biotoxins in China, foreign organizations and developed countries, the existing problems of marine biotoxins in coastal aquatic products in China were found and suggestions were put forward to establish effective marine biotoxin detection methods for China, improve the standard regulations and monitoring and early warning control system, and provide reference suggestions for ensuring the food safety of consumers （70 ref. cited）.
