      Abstract: A review on the progress of techniques of detection for β-agonist residues in foodstuffs sourced from animal meat covering the years from 1994 to 2006,was presented.Recent status of the application of techniques of sample treatments and various techniques used for the analysis (including chromatography,immunoanalysis,biosensors and etc.) was related with 31 ref.cited.
