Abstract: An overview of the status and recent developments on the application of the modern instrumental analysis techniques for the detection of hogwash oil, including spectroscopy, chromatography, mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance, was presented, and the prospect was proposed (46 ref. cited).
