Abstract: A rapid and sensitive dipstick immunoassay for detection of carbaryl was described.The assaying was based on the competitive principle and an anti-carbaryl polyclonal antibody immobilized on positively charged Nylon membrane was used.A strip of the nembrane coated with antibody was immersed into the solution mixture of antigen and antigen-HRP for 10 min.The assay was completed within 15 min and the limit of detection was 10 μg·L-1.Validity of the dipstick assaying was verified by HPLC and it was proved to be an efficient method for quality control.
