Abstract: An introduction on the present status of inspection of polybromodiphenyl ethers (PBDPE′s),a kind of flame retardants and being a new source of environmental pollutants,was given in this paper,relating especially the techniques of sample pretreatment,purification of analytes and methods for determination of PBDPE′s,reported recently in literatures during the years from 1999 to 2007.Future prospections on this field,were also given by the authors.
