Abstract: Direct-reading atomic emission spectrometry was applied to the determination of impurity-elements in tin ingot.The analytical lines of the 9 elements determined and the analytical parameters of the determinations,including the requirements of sample preparation,and the fitting of calibration curves,were studied and optimized.The special features of this method were the simplicity in sample preparation and the avoidance of pollution.The detection limits of the elements determined were in the range of 0.000 9-6 mg·kg-1 RSD values obtained were in the range of 1.76%-9.09%.Analytical results of 8 elements determined in 2 standard samples by this method were in good consistency with the certified values.
