Abstract: A review of the progress of methods for the determination of plant saponins,covering mainly the years from 1979 to 2005,was given in this paper,and the following items were related:the thin layer chromatography,gas chromatography,high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC),hyphenation of HPLC and other methods and capillary electrophoresis (35 ref.cited).
