Abstract: A sensitive method for the determination of sodium ceftriasonate (SCTS) by linear-sweeping oscillopolarography was proposed.In an oxalate buffer solution of pH 4.5,a reductive peak was observed at -768 mV (vs.SCE) and its peak current kept a linear relationship with the concentration of sodium ceftriasonate in the range of 6-18 mg·L-1.The method has been applied to the analysis of sodium ceftriasonate tablets.The result obtained was as compared with those obtained by pharmacopeia method,giving a relative deviation of 0.74% and recoveries in the range of 90.0%-120.0%.
