    Determination of 16 Rare-Earth Elements in Health Care Soup Powder by ICP-MS with Microwave Digestion

    • An ICP-MS method was developed for simultaneous determination of 16 rare-earth elements in health care soup powder. The sample was treated by microwave digestion in the mixture of nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide,and the 16 rare-earth elements were detected by ICP-MS. The linear range was 1.0-80 μg·L-1 with the detection limit of 0.1-1.7 μg·kg-1. The proposed method was applied to the standard sample,the results obtained were in consistency with the certified values. Tests for precision were made by analyzing a sample by the method,giving values of RSD (n=10) were less than 5%. The method was used for detection of 12 samples of health care soup powder,and the total abundance of the 16 rare-earth elements were in the range of 0.127-0.984 mg·kg-1.
