    Determination of Ketotifen Fumarate Based on the Chemiluminescence Reaction of Luminol with Potassium Permanganate

    • A mehod of flow-injection chemiluminescence was developed for the determination of ketotifen fumarate,based on the fact that ketotifen fumarate could enhance the chemiluminescence intensity of the luminol-KMnO4 system obviously. Under the optimum conditions,the ratio of chemiluminescence intensity (I/I0) was correlated linearly with the concentration of ketotifen fumarate in the range of 1.8×10-8-2.0×10-6mol·L-1 and the detection limit (3s/k) was 5.6×10-9mol·L-1. The recovery rates measured by standard addition method were in the range of 98.6%-102%,and RSD were in the range of 1.1%-1.4%.The method was used to analyzing commercially available ketotifen fumarate tablets,giving results in agreement with the indicated value.
