Determination of Sodium,Potassium,Magnesium,Calcium, and Citrate in Cigarette Paper by Near Infared Spectrometry

    • Near infared spectrometry was applied to the determination of sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and citrate in cigarette paper.163 samples of typical cigarette papers were determined by near infared spectrometry, and a mathematical prediction model was established to determine sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and citrate in cigarette paper via partial least squares. The results showed that when the number of sheets of paper stacking was fifteen or more, there was no obvious difference between the near infrared diffuse reflectance spectroscopy.Values of correlation coefficients (r2) for the 5 components were 0.949 6,0.982 5,0.958 1,0.930 0,and 0.987 9,respectively.Values of root-mean-squares error of cross-validation were 0.245,0.415,0.050 5,3.08 and 0.533,respectively.Values of mean relative deviation of external validation of the model were 6.63%,4.87%,6.03%,2.31% and 4.58%,respectively.The t-test showed that significance levels of the 5 components were all larger than 0.05 and there was no significant difference between the measured values and the predicted values.
