    GC-MS Determination of Methoxyacetic Acid in Textiles and Leather Products

    • GC-MS was applied to the determination of methoxyacetic acid in textiles and leather products.The sample was extracted ultrasonically with methanol for 45 min,and the extract was filtered through PTFE microporous membrane of 0.45 μm.Rxi-624sil MS chromatographic column (60 m×0.32 mm,1.8 μm) was used for GC separation and full-scanning mode and selected ion monitoring mode were adopted in MS determination.Linear relationship between values of peak area and mass concentration of methoxyacetic acid was kept in the range of 0.05-10.0 mg·L-1,with detection limit (3S/N) of 0.5 mg·kg-1.On the base of blank sample,test for recovery was made by standard addition method;values of recovery found were in the range of 89.6%-111% with RSD′s (n=7) in the range of 2.1%-6.2%.
