Abstract
A novel method was established to measure of heavy metals such as Pb, Cd, As, Tl, V, Cr, Sn, Co and Ni in sugarcane by ICP-MS with microwave digestion for sample preparation. 72Ge, 115In, 209Bi and 45Sc were used as the internal standard elements to eliminate non-spectroscopic interference and helium was used as collision gas to eliminate mass spectroscopic interference. Under optimized conditions, the linear range of this method was 0.04-50 μg·L-1 with correlation coefficients over 0.999. The detection limits for Pb, Cd, As, Tl, V, Cr, Sn, Co and Ni were 5.7, 0.11, 0.67, 0.067, 2.8, 1.1, 3.1, 6.2, 4.3 ng·L-1, respectively. The method was used to analyze standard substances, giving results consistent with the certified values.
