Abstract
The distillate′s acidity greatly affects the determination of the ammoniacal nitrogen by distillation-Nessler′s reagent spectrophotometry method. When boric acid was used as distillation absorption liquid, the effect was eliminated by adding sodium hydrate solution to adjust the pH to 10. When hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid or water was used, satisfactory results were obtained without adjusting the distillate′s acidity.
