    Determination of Trace Silver in Geological Samples by AC-AES

    • AC-AES was applied to the determination of trace silver in geological samples. When its content over 0.3%, Manganese was found to interfere the determination at the spectral line of Ag 328.068 nm. Hence, Ag 338.289 nm was used as spectral line in the analysis with Ge 303.910 nm as internal standard. The detection limit (3s) was 0.026 μg·g-1. The method was used to analyze standard substances, giving relative deviation between the determined values and the certified values less than 12% and RSDs (n=12) in the range of 3.7%-12%.
