Analysis of the Blue Printing Ink on Forged Banknotes by HPLC and HPLC-MS

HPLC was used for the analysis of the blue graphic printing ink on 46 forged 100-yuan banknotes seized from various sources. The chromatographic data of the blue graphic printing ink on the forged banknotes from different places showed some characteristics. HPLC-MS/MS was used to analyze the structures of major components of colorants in the blue graphic printing ink.
