Abstract
A HPLC method was developed for the determination of benzo[α]pyrene in vegetables. The samples were extracted with n-hexame and the extract was purified on a SPE column filled with neutral alumina. The analytes were separated on Zorbax Eclipse XDB-C18 column with acetonitrile (85+15) as the mobile phase for elution, and then detected by fluorescence detector with the excitation wavelength (λex) of 370 nm and the emission wavelength (λem) of 425 nm. External standard method was used for quantification. The linearity range of benzo[α]pyrene was 1.0-20 μg·L-1, with the detection limit (3S/N) of 0.12 μg·kg-1 and the lower limit of determination (10S/N) of 0.40 μg·kg-1. Recovery rates obtained by standard addition method were in the range of 76.2%-110%, and RSDs (n=6) were in the range of 1.8%-5.3%.
