Abstract
The adhesive sample was placed into an environmental chamber where the actual environment was simulated. In the chamber, the sample was desorbed at 280 ℃ for 5 min. The benzene homologs in the sample were liberated and the gaseous mixture was introduced into the DB-1MS capillary chromatographic column for separation, after which the analytes were determined by MS. EI and SIM were adopted in MS. Linearity ranges were found between 10.73 to 1 216 ng, for 6 homologs, with minimum detection concentration of 0.2 μg·m-3 (based on 5.0 L of sampling volume). Recovery was tested by standard addition method, giving results ranged from 87.8%-105% for the 6 homologs. Values of RSD′s (n=8) found were in the range of 8.2%-11%.
