    UPC2 Determination of 7 Sunscreeners in Cosmetics

    • Ultra high performance convergence chromatography UPC2 was applied to the determination of 7 sunscreeners in cosmetics. The sample was extracted ultrasonically with a mixture of CH3OH-H2O (8+2). The extract was separated on Waters Hss C18 SB chromatographic column, with a mixture of supercritical CO2 and methanol as mobile phase in the gradient elution. UV detection was made at the wavelengths of 276 nm and 310 nm. Linearity ranges of the 7 sunscreeners were same in the range of 1.0-80.0 mg·L-1, with same detection limits (3S/N) of 200 mg·kg-1. Values of recovery obtained by standard addition method were in the range of 90.2%-103%, with RSDs (n=6) in the range of 1.6%-5.2%.
