Abstract
GC-MS was applied to the determination of ethanol, 1,2-propylene glycol, glycerol, diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene-glycol and pentaethylene gylcol in electronic tobacco liquid. Electronic tobacco liquid was diluted and ultrasonic extracted with methanol, and the extract was separated on DB-ALC1 capillary column (30 m×0.32 mm, 1.8μm) and analyzed by GC-MS. Internal standard method was used for quantification, 1,3-butanediol as internal standard. Linear relationships between values of peak area and mass concentration were found in definite ranges. Values of lower limits of determination (10s) were found in the range of 1.1-5.0 mg·L-1. Values of recovery obtained by standard addition method were in the range of 91.2%-107%, with RSDs (n=5) in the range of 1.2%-3.5%.
