Abstract
Pyrolysis-gas chromatography (Py-GC) with a vertical micropyrolytic furnace was applied to the simultaneous determination of toluene, m-xylene and naphthalene liberated from tobacco of cigarettes under the temperatures of 300 ℃, 500 ℃ and 800 ℃. Linear relationships between values of peak area and mass concentration were found in the range of 0.02-2.00 g·L-1 for toluene and m-xylene, and 0.01-1.00 g·L-1 for naphthalene. Limits of detection (3S/N) of the 3 compunds were 0.25, 0.32, 0.13 mg·g-1, respectively. Values of recovery obtained by standard addition method were in the range of 89.5%-95.8%, with RSDs (n=5) less than 6%.
