Abstract
A method of direct reading spectrometry for the determination of 12 elements, i.e. C, Si, Mn, P, S, Cr, Ni, Cu, Mo, V, Ti and Nb in high carbon Cr-Ni alloy steel was proposed. The optimized conditions found were as follows: ① argon-blowing time: 4 s; ② pre-integration time: 6 s; and ③ integration time: 5 s. Linear relationships between values of spectral intensity and mass fraction of the 12 elements were kept in definite ranges. The proposed method was applied to the certification analysis of a standard sample (11X-15310) with RSD′s (n=11) in the range of 0.17%-4.2%. The proposed method was used in the analysis of 3 standard samples (95-021-4, C1290 and YSBC11017-2003), giving results in consistency with the certified values.
