    ICP-AES Determination of Trace Amounts of Al, Cd, Cu, Mg, Mn and Ti in Pure Rhenium

    • 5.000 g of the sample was dissolved with HNO3 (1+1) solution and the solution was diluted to 50 mL with water. Trace amounts of Al, Cd, Cu, Mg, Mn and Ti in the solution were determined by ICP-AES. Analytical spectral lines of 394.401, 326.105, 327.396, 280.270, 279.827, 337.280 nm were chosen for the determination of the 6 elements respectively. Linear relationships between values of emission intensity and mass fraction of the elements were obtained in the same range of 0.000 05%-0.001%, with detection limits in the range of 0.000 15-0.002 1 mg·L-1. On the base of blank sample, test for recovery was made by standard addition method; values of recovery found were in the range of 78.0%-122%, with RSD′s (n=6) in the range of 2.0%-30%.
