Abstract
The tungsten ore sample was fused with a mixture of sodium peroxide and sodium hydroxide, and the melt was dissolved with a mixture of tartaric acid and hydrochloric acid. ICP-AES was applied to the determination of the 7 elements in the sample solution. Analytical spectral lines of 251.61, 259.94, 396.15, 334.94, 239.71, 202.03, 189.98 nm were chosen for the determination of Si, Fe, Al, Ti, W, Mo and Sn respectively. Linear relationships between values of spectral intensity of corresponding elements and mass concentration of the 7 components were kept in definite ranges. Detection limits (3s) found were ranged from 0.000 24 to 0.063 mg·g-1. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of CRMs of tungsten ores (GBW 07240, GBW 07241), giving results in consistency with the certified values and RSD′s (n=12) found were in the range of 0.48%-5.1%.
