Abstract
ICP-MS with microwave digestion was applied to the determination of thirteen chemical elements in edible ink. After the samples were digested by microwave with a mixture of nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide (3+2), Cr, As, Se, Ni, Fe, Mn, Cu, Pb, Cd, Sb, Zn, Ba and Al in the samples were analyzed by using Bi, Ge, Sc and In as internal standard elements to eliminate the marrix interference, and by using collision/reaction cell technology and interference correction formula to eliminate the MS interference. Linear relationships were found between the signal intensity and the mass concentration of the thirteen elements in defined ranges with correlation coefficients in the range of 0.999 1-0.999 9, and the detection limits (3s/k) varied from 0.003 mg·kg-1 to 2 mg·kg-1. Recovery rates obtained by standard addition method were in the range of 80.0%-110% and RSDs (n=7) were in the range of 2.3%-7.3%.
