Study on the Stretching Vibration of Sulfur(S-S) by DRIFTS

A study on the sulfur S-S stretching vibration (ν_S-S) based on their one dimensional IR, 2nd derivative IR, 4th derivative IR and deconvolution IR spectrograms obtained by DRIFTS in the range of 500-400 cm^-1 was made, and special attention was paid on the stretching vibration of sulfur by using the diffuse reflectance two-dimensional IR spectrograms. It was shown that ν_S-S appeared near 464, 466, 468 and 474 cm^-1, and intensity of IR absorption of ν_S-S changed in the order of 464 cm^-1>474 cm^-1>468 cm^-1>466 cm^-1.
