    HG-AFS Determination of Selenium in Plants with Closed Digestion

    • HG-AFS was applied to the determination of selenium in plants with closed digestion. The plant sample was digested closedly for 4 h with the mixture of HNO3-H2O2 (2+1) at 130℃. 10 g·L-1 NaBH4 solution was used as reductant. Linear relationship between values of fluorescence intensity and mass concentration of selenium was kept in the range of 2-10 μg·L-1, with detection limit (3s/k) of 0.18 μg·L-1. Precision of the method was tested at the concentration level of 10 μg·L-1 selenium standard solution for 6 determination and value of RSD found was 0.63%. On the base of standard material of cabbage (GBW 10014), test for recovery was made by standard addition method. Value of recovery found was 102%.
