Abstract
GC-MS was applied to the determination of 34 volatile organic compounds in air with thermal desorption and cold trap. The air sample was concentrated with cold trap technology, and then desorbed thermally. The DB-624UI chromatographic column was used for GC separation and the selected ion monitoring mode was adopted in MS determination. Linear relationships between values of peak area and mass of the 34 volatile organic compounds were kept in definite ranges. Detection limits (3S/N) found were ranged from 0.004 to 0.500 ng·L-1. Values of recovery found by standard addition method were in the range of 69.8%-118%, and values of RSD's (n=6) in the range of 2.9%-6.3%.
