    ICP-AES Determination of Amount of Gallium in CIGS Target

    • The sample of CIGS target was digested by the mixture of nitric acid and hydrochloric acid (3+1) with low temperature electricity plate. Amount of gallium in the sample solution was determined by ICP-AES. Analytical spectral lines of 417.2, 371.0 nm were chosen for the determination of gallium and yttrium respectively. Yttrium was used as internal standard. Linearity range of gallium was found within 100 mg·L-1 with detection limit (3s) of 0.14 mg·L-1. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of samples of CIGS target, giving values of recovery and RSD's (n=11) in the ranges of 97.5%-104% and 0.31%-1.8% respectively.
