    HPLC Determination of 4 Compounds in Gastrodiaelata

    • HPLC was applied to the determination of gastrodin, 4-hydroxybenzyl alcohol, 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde and parishin in Gastrodiaelata. The sample (1.000 0 g) was extracted by reflux at 90℃ for 1.0 h with 40 mL of 60% (φ) ethanol, and then the solution was separated by HPLC using Syncronis C18 column as stationary phase and a mixture of methanol and 0.05% (φ) phosphoric acid solution in various ratios as mobile phase in gradient elution. Linear relationships between values of peak area and injection mass of 4 compounds were found in definite ranges, with detection limits (3S/N) in the range of 0.003-0.012 μg. Test for recovery was made by standard addition method, giving results in the range of 96.4%-98.4%, with RSDs (n=6) all less than 1.5%.
