Abstract
Aiming to plastic pipe materials of polyethylene and random co-polymer of polypropylene, samples of the raw material, the recycled material from the original factory and the regenerated material from other factory were collected separately. In addition, samples of plastic blends obtained by blending the raw material with the recycled material (or the regenerated material) in various and definite ratios were prepared. Samples obtained as described above were scanned separately by a IR spectrometer to obtain their spectra. By comparing the IR spectrum data and applying the test for consistency, differentiation of recycled or reganerated plastics in plastic pipe materials was achieved.
