    Determination of 26 Elements in Marine Fuel Oils by ICP-AES with Direct Injection High Efficiency Nebulizer

    • After the sample was digested by microwave with nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide, 26 elements in marine fuel oils were determined by ICP-AES coupled with direct injection high efficiency nebulizer. The spectrum interference to P 213.617 nm and P 214.914 nm caused by Cu was corrected by multi-component spectral fitting (MSF). Linearity ranges of the 26 elements were within 10.0 mg·L-1, and detection limits (3s) were in the range of 0.001-0.087 mg·L-1. Recovery rates obtained by standard addition method ranged from 92.1% to 106%, and RSDs (n=7) ranged from 0.46% to 2.7%. The proposed method was used to determine Fe, Ni, V and S in standard substances of marine fuel oils, giving results consistent with the reference values.
