ICP-AES Determination of Palladium, Yttrium, Boron, Niobium and Tantalum in Titanium Alloy

    • The sample (0.100 0 g) was dissolved in 10 mL of H2SO4 (1+1) solution by heating at low temperature, and then evaporated to fumes of H2SO4. Nitric acid was added dropwise into the solution at high temperature until violet disappeared, and then the solution was made up its volume to 100 mL with water. The solution was used for ICP-AES determination of Pd, Y, B, Nb and Ta in titanium alloy, and analytical spectral lines selected were Pd 360.955 nm, Y 360.073 nm, B 249.773 nm, Nb 269.706 nm and Ta 240.063 nm. The matrix matching method was used to correct the matrix effect in preparation of working curves.Values of detection limits (3s) found for 5 elements were 8.1, 2.7, 1.8, 4.8, 2.1 μg·L-1, respectively. And values of RSDs (n=8) found were in the range of 1.1%-2.9%. A CRM of BS C101XTi60 was analyzed by the proposed method, giving results in consistency with the certified values.
