    Application of Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography to Tobacco Chemical Analysis

    • The application progress of ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) combined with optical detector and mass spectrometric detector to the determination of chemical compositions of tobacco leaf raw materials, cigarette smoke and tobacco materials was reviewed from 2000 to 2017. The chromatographic conditions, pretreatment methods and the common problems in practical application were mainly discussed. The advantages and disadvantages of UPLC technology and its direction of future development were briefly described (60 ref. cited).
