Abstract
Ion mobility spectrometry was applied to rapid, on-site identification of 5 phenolic compounds in toys with in-situ ionization. Without any sample pretreatment, the toy sample was ionized with in-situ ionization (extractive nanoliter-electrospray or paper spray). The inspection could be completed within 11 ms. The detection limits (3S/N) of the 5 phenolic compounds were in the range of 0.5-1.5 mg·kg-1. The suspicious positive sample was subjected to further verification by HPLC-MS/MS, which gave confirmable results.
