Determination of Emission Rate of Total Volatile Organic Compounds in Track Surface Materials by GC with Thermal Desorption and Emission Test Chamber

    • The sample of track surface materials was placed in the emission test chamber for 18 h at a constant temperature of 60℃ and a relative air humidity of 45%, and then the emission rate of total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) in track surface materials was analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) with thermal desorption. Linear relationships of 10 typical compounds in TVOCs were found in definite ranges, with detection limits (3S/N) in the range of 0.21-0.41 μg·m-3. Values of RSDs (n=8) were in the range of 1.8%-3.8%. Test for recovery was made by standard addition method, giving results in the range of 91.5%-105%.
