    Rapid Determination of 16 Volatile Organic Compounds in Chemical Solid Waste by GC with Headspace

    • GC with headspace was applied to the rapid determination of 16 volatile organic compounds in chemical solid waste. The heating equilibrium temperature and heating equilibrium time of headspace were set at 80℃ and 30 min. The analytes were separated on HP-FFAP chromatographic column (30 m×0.32 mm, 0.25 μm) and detected by FID. Linear relationships between values of peak height and mass concentration of the 16 volatile organic compounds were kept in definite ranges. Detection limits of the method ranged from 0.001 to 0.009 mg·L-1. The proposed method was applied to the analysis of samples of chemical solid waste, giving values of recovery found by standard addition method and RSDs (n=6) of total amounts of determination in the ranges of 82.5%-115% and 1.9%-9.1% respectively.
