Abstract
Acrylamide in workplace air sample was collected by water as absorbent. GC with wide bore capillary column was applied to the direct determination of acrylamide in the absorbent. The analyte was separated on HP-INNOWAX chromatographic column (30 m×0.53 mm, 1.00 μm) and detected by FID. Linear relationship between values of peak area and mass concentration of acrylamide was kept in the range of 0.050-3.00 mg·L-1, with detection limit (3S/N) of 0.014 mg·L-1. Acrylamide standard solution was tested, giving values of intra-day RSDs (n=6) and inter-day RSDs (n=6) of determination values in the ranges of 1.0%-2.1% and 1.3%-2.2%, respectively. On the base of blank sample, test for recovery was made by standard addition method; values of recovery found were in the range of 93.0%-102%.
