Flow Injection Chemiluminescence Determination of Resveratrol in Red Wine with Luminol and Potassium Ferricyanide Reaction System

    • A systematic study was made on the optimum conditions of the enhancement of chemiluminescence of the reaction system between luminol and potassium ferricyanide by the presence of resveratrol, and by combination with the flow injection, a flow injection chemiluminescence method for determination of resveratrol in red wine was proposed. In solution of 1×10-3 mol·L-1 NaOH, the optimum concentrations found for luminol solution and potassium ferricyanide solution were 8×10-6 mol·L-1 and 2×10-5 mol·L-1 respectively. Under this condition, linearity range of resveratrol was found in the range of 1.00 ×10-8 to 1.00×10-6 mol·L-1, with value of detection limit (3S/N) of 3.0×10-9 mol·L-1. Precision was tested with 4.00×10-7 mol·L-1 standard solution of resveratrol, and value of RSD (n=11) of determined value found was 2.6%. In analyzing actual sample, the red wine sample was first filtered under reduced pressure to remove solid particles, and 50 mL of the filtrate was taken and then heated to boiling for 2 min to eliminate the volatile aromatics. After cooling, the solution was centrifuged for 5 min, and the supernatant was taken and determined under the instrumental working conditions. Test for recovery was carried out according to the procedure by addition of standard solution to the sample as matrix. Values of recovery found were in the range of 95.9% to 130%.
