Determination of Streptomycin in Milk Based on Silver Nanoparticles with Smartphone

    • Quercetin-coated silver nanoparticles were synthesized by quercetin and AgNO3. When using synthesized silver nanoparticles to determine streptomycin, the color of the solution changed from yellow to cherry red. Determination of streptomycin in milk could be realized by using smartphone which was used to obtain R(red)G(green)B(blue) values to calculate G/B values through image processing software. Linear relationship between G/B values and concentration of streptomycin was obtained in the range of 10.00-150.00 μmol·L-1, with detection limit (3s/k) of 0.63 μmol·L-1 and lower limit of determination (10s/k) of 2.08 μmol·L-1. Tests for recovery were made by standard addition method at the concentration levels of 30.00, 70.00, 130.00 μmol·L-1, giving values of recovery and RSDs (n=6) in the ranges of 97.9%-102% and 0.90%-2.8% respectively.
