    • Research progress of the application of stable isotope mass spectrometry techniquesincluding elemental analysis-stable isotope ratio mass spectrometry (EA-IRMS) and gas chromatography-stable isotope ratio mass spectrometry (GC-IRMS) in the analysis of trace material evidence (i.e., combustion improver, explosive, paint, soil, fiber, tape, plastic, paper, etc.) in forensic science, was reviewed. Main applications involved the sample identification, origin traceability and identical authentication for trace material evidence (54 references cited).
