Abstract
A method was established for the rapid determination of tert-butanol in environmental water by gas chromatography with external standard calibration curve method used for quantitative analysis. Four factors including extractant, chromatographic column, temperature programming, and flow rate of carrier gas were investigated, and the optimized conditions were as follows:dichloromethane as extractant, Rtx-Wax chromatographic column for separation, the rate of 5℃·min-1 using in temperature programming, as well as the flow rate of carrier gas of 15 mL·min-1. Linearity range of tert-butanol was kept in the range of 10.0-800 μg·L-1, with detection limit (3S/N) and lower limit of determination (10S/N) of 2.65 μg·L-1 and 10.6 μg·L-1. Values of recovery obtained by blank sample with adding standard were found in the range of 82.3%-93.5%, and RSDs of determined values were less than 10% when the mass concentration of tert-butanol was not less than 50.0 μg·L-1.
