GC Determination of 12 Acrylate Monomers Amounts Migrated from Food Contact Materials to Aqueous Food Simulants

    • A gas chromatography method was established for the determination of 12 acrylate monomers amounts migrated from food contact material to 4 kinds of aqueous food simulants, such as 10% (φ) ethanol solution (A), 4% (φ) acetic acid solution (B), 20% (φ) ethanol solution (C) and 50% (φ) ethanol solution (D). Food simulation solution was extracted by dichloromethane vortex oscillation, in which 1.2 g of sodium chloride was added to A, B and C, as well as 0.5 mL of saturated sodium sulfate solution to D. The extract was separated by HP-VOC capillary chromatographic column, and detected by flame ionization detector. Linear relationships between values of peak area and mass concentration of 12 acrylate monomers were found in the same range of 2.5-50 μg, with detection limits(3S/N) ranging from 0.05 to 2.0 μg. Tests for recovery were made by standard addition method, giving results in the range of 84.0%-115%, and RSDs (n=6) of the determined values were ranged from 1.0% to 9.6%.
