Research Progress on Detection Methods of Cannabidiol as a Non-Doping Ingredient in Hemp

    • Cannabidiol (CBD) had received wide attention due to its pharmacological effects, including neuroprotective, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and anti-epileptic. However, as CBD was officially listed in the list of prohibited ingredients for cosmetics, the application of CBD had been greatly affected. Moreover, there were no relevant laws, regulations or standards for CBD products in China at present. The CBD products in the field of cross-border e-commerce platforms had brought great difficulties and challenges to the supervision. Based on these facts, the pharmacological effects and application of CBD were introduced, and the research progress of CBD detection methods was reviewed, in order to provide new insights for the standardized use of CBD and the standardized development of CBD products (41 ref. cited).
